The Power Plant
The Sapphire 370 SS maintains the same compact framework as the Sapphire 270, while at the same time maximizing cleaning performance with an industrial 20 HP Kohler engine. Kohler Engines, based in Wisconsin USA, has been an industry pioneer for more than 80 years. The Kohler Command Pro engine that is utilized on the Sapphire Scientific 370 SS is the professional standard for power and performance and offers the best-in-class engineering and performance on torque, fuel and oil consumption, extended maintenance intervals and sound levels.
It has full-pressure lubrication which delivers continuous, positive lube to engine components. It also runs a full-flow filter that cleans the entire oil supply 150 times/hour, extending oil-change intervals to 100 hours and filter changes to 200 hours, under normal running conditions.
The high-efficiency design of this motor delivers greater volumetric efficiency and higher compression ratio with virtually no carbon build-up. Your truckmount engine will therefore run cooler with superior power and fuel efficiency, reduced oil consumption and less maintenance. Valve lifters are oil-pressurized, insuring that push rods stay in constant contact with rocker arms. Requiring no adjustments, the valve train is virtually maintenance-free.
A large-capacity, dual-element air filter traps contaminants to ensure proper engine protection. This results in long life, maximum engine performance and lower exhaust emissions. Also, a high-capacity, in-line fuel filter provides extra protection against dirt particles that can clog fuel lines and reduce engine performance. The result is faster starts, smoother operation and virtually no downtime due to fuel contamination.

High Pressure Water Pump
Providing the 1500 psi of heated water pressure is the legendary CAT 3CP triplex pump. It also has last-step chemical injection to which maximizes pump performance. This pump is not only high pressure, but also high flow – running 4.3 GPM, which is much higher than most truckmounts run. This pump also has Hot Dry seals installed to help prevent premature seal degradation. It has an electric clutch to turn the pump on and off therefore not running the pump and belts unnecessarily.
